As volunteers for the Go and Do Likewise (GADL) Cow Project, Chanel and Joyce would like to express that it is their purpose to donate 100% of themselves and all possible resources at their disposal to provide a total of 7 cows to the committed people of Rionchogu.
Rionchogu - Pronounced Ree-on-chew is known as, "A Village Despised", caught between the violence and chaos of an impoverished region. It is located in south-west Kenya in the highlands (elevation 5500 ft.) of equitorial Africa. Comprised of about 7,000 people, Riconchogu is part of the Gussi tribe, close to the Sengera market area and is part of a population of about 25,000 people scattered throughout 20 villages. You will not find it on Google maps currently, but can find the general area about 12 kilometers south-west of Ogembo in Kenya . . . ( more )

This website is dedicated to raising the funds that will allow Chanel and Joyce to purchase as many cows as possible for the village. They have set a goal to purchase 7 cows that have been determined to be of vital need to the village. Joyce has generously offered to match the first 500.00 in donations. Chanel's last visit has inspired her Aunt Joyce to take the journey with her when she returns in April 2010.
