Our concerns are many. Working both locally and abroad the path of our river is determined

the destination remains the same. We will GO AND DO Likewise.

Scholarships - Securing the Future

Education is the key element to stabilize the uncertainty of the people of Riochogu. Unfortunately only students passing a national exam may qualify, and only those with what amounts to a substantial sum of money for a person living in Rionchogu, can afford to attend Secondary School. Without Secondary School, college is certainly out of the question for successful students.

GADL's goal is to make sure that every qualifying candidate has the means to attend and finish Secondary School. For each student entered in to our scholarship program, there is a different set of criteria for financial support that is needed to make this a reality.
An average year of secondary school is available to students at the cost of $300.00 to $500.00 per year. Boarding schools, who's entry fees are the most expensive, have the highest success rate for students passing the exam to qualify for University.

Below you will find a list of candidates that have passed the National Test and who's needs have been accessed by the village leadership and GADL's GAD Kenya Board. We have listed them in order, from those highest at risk to those with only the need for tuition fees to be able to attend. All of these students need assistance, so if you would prefer to make a general scholarship donation please click here. Please scroll down through our list of student hopefuls and request that your donation go directly to a particular student. You can choose to fund a year's tuition all at once or through monthly installments. If your unable to offer a full year's tuition, but wish to contribute to an individual students general fund, you also have that option.

Our TOP 15 Student Scholarship Candidates - Rionchogu     Flag

Students who pass their national exit exams qualify for continued education that most will never be able to afford. Within these students who have weathered unimaginable circumstances and challenges in order to attend and study to be equiped to pass these exams, is an extrodinary group who have achieved the highest marks and proven a commitment to excellence. Though each student we feature on this site has earned the support of both GAD Kenya and the local leadership in Rionchogu-Kenya, it is the following 15 who have been determined to be the top canidates in the GAD Kenya Scholarship Program. The subsequent pages list the remaining (and well deserving) students in the order of their achievements and financial restrictions. We find that most often a particular student will stand above the rest, for whatever reasons, but in the case that chosing becomes difficult, we hope that this ordering of achievement will help you to determine the student or students you feel compelled to assist. Thank you!
