Support Our Volunteers
Our concerns are many. Working both locally and abroad the path of our river is determined
by the terrain presented to us as we move forward. Though our course may veer right or left,
the destination remains the same. We will GO AND DO Likewise.
Student Scholarship Candidates - Rionchogu
Philia J. - Candidate
Age 14, 3 brothers and 2 sisters, father is peasant farmer mother cares for children. Since she has received support her parents have been able to stop making illegal brew to make ends meet. Her goal is to become a doctor. In her leisure time she reads books and reads the bible to her family before bed time.

Bonface M. - Candidate
Age 16, 3 sisters and 2 brothers, father is deceased, mother is a peasant farmer and raises the young siblings. In fourth year of high school, hopes to go on to university to help expand the vision of GAD Kenya.

Doreen B. - Candidate
Age 16, 1 sister, 3 brothers, father Christopher is a peasant farmer, mother sells vegetables using a loan from GAD Kenya, second year at Matagoro school and wants to be a teacher. Leisure time reads.

Dickson M. - Candidate
Age 18, four brothers and sisters, father and mother are peasant farmers, in final year of high School and hopes to pass test for University and become a doctor.

Eric P. - Candidate
Age16, 2 brothers and 2 sisters, mother and father are peasant farmers. He is in the last year of High School (secondary) and hopes to study in engineering and architectural design. Likes to play football and read. He placed #5 out of 30 students in his class.

Evans O. - Candidate
Age 17, 3 brothers.

Everline O. - Candidate
Everline is 16. She has 6 brothers and 2 sisters. Her mother is deceased and her father is a farmer.

Salome O. - Candidate
Age 14, Salome is facing economic challenge in primary school because she is hearing impaired and must attend a special school that is not funded by the government. She has 1 brother and 2 sisters, and both parents are deceased.

Rodah M. - Candidate
Age 17, 6 sisters and 2 brothers. Both parents are peasant farmers. After school she hopes to be an advisor and help the villagers find better lives. She likes reading and helping with chores.

Emma (Emmah) L. - Candidate
Age 16, 2 brothers and 1 sister Emma is second born, Favorite subjects are Physics and English, she finished 6 out of 46 in her class. She likes helping older people and HIV Aids patients she hopes to become an engineer to help bring electricity to the village.

Vincent O. 2 - Candidate
Age 13, 4 brothers, father is a peasant farmer, mother cares for children. Vincent prefers science and hopes to become a pilot. His leisure time includes reading and playing football.

Judy K. - Candidate
2 sisters 1 brother, father deceased mother is a peasant farmer. Judy is a single parent. GAD Kenya has offered her this opportunity to continue her studies and hopes for her difficult studies to be blessed that she might be a nurse.

Raphael M. - Candidate
Age 14, 3 brothers and 1 sister. Father is a tailor and mother is a peasant father. Hopes to go on to University and become a psychologist. Leisure time plays football and reading to sick people.

Lydia O. - Candidate
1 brother 3 sisters she has a child and has not been able to do her school but now with help she can study for her education and become a teacher.

Mercy M. - Candidate
Age 13, 2 brothers and 6 sisters. Hopes to become a teacher and help the village.

Damacline (Damackline) O. - Candidate
Age 13, father is a peasant farmer mother is small business from GAD Kenya loan. Hopes to become a nurse to help the village. Leisure time, singing and reading.

Ronald M. - Candidate
Age 17, 3 brothers, 4 sisters, 2 older brothers and 2 older sisters are married. Father is a peasant farmer, mother cares for the younger siblings. Hopes to become a teacher and education office to help the families in the village educate their children. Leisure likes to read and helps younger children learn.

1. Emmanuel M. - Candidate

Age 16, father is deceased and mother a housewife. Spends leisure time playing football and hopes to be an electrician.
