GADL & GAD Kenya: Bringing Education, Health training and Opportunity to women in Rionchogu village.
The very first community outreach which GAD Kenya provided was a Micro Franchise loan project to assist the women to embrace economic opportunity. GAD Kenya leadership is dedicated to supporting the cultural changes which are needed to open doors for rural women. Most importantly is the focus on educating the daughters through high school, a necessary step to end young girls being married and giving birth at 14 or 15 yrs of age. Family seminars are held which point out the many health issues related to women and the need to change priorities when it comes to educating their daughters.
Go and Do Likewise is dedicated to this facet of community outreach and development.
